Naatok and I are in South Florida. We are a little inland and outside the evacuation zone, though not by a lot. We are as prepared as we can be and our house has stood since the 50s so we're fairly confident that it'll survive this. We'll likely be shutting down and securing our computers later today. I'll check in on my Enjin page as I can but we expect to lose cellular service at some point during the festivities today. So if I go silent, that's likely why.

You kids behave and don't burn the place down while we're away. ;)

And to my fellow Floridians who are ridding out the storm with us... I wish you all the best. Here's hoping we're all back by Monday and trading wild stories.

I hope many are spared what Texas was not. Hurricanes are one of the only reasons I hate living in an area that can get hit. I hope your hurricane tales will not be too exciting or heart pounding. ;) Be safe.

Well we've survived the storm with no damage to our house but we currently only have ONE working power outlet and no idea when full power will be restored. Just got cellphone service back up in the wee hours of the morning so I can use my phone as a wifi hotspot. So I'll be checkin in off and on. We were spared really, it could have been a LOT worse!

No kidding. I've learned to never, ever watch the Weather Channel for storm coverage. starts singing "It's the end of the world as we know it..." That should be their theme song.

Glad you were spared the worst.
